As an immigrant to this great nation, Lisa began working at the age of 13 when her parents purchased a business of their own, a small restaurant, in Northern California. Since there were no English as a Second Language programs available back then, she learned English from sitting in classrooms where only English was spoken and written by the teachers and students.
Lisa attended Yale University, majoring in English Literature, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts. She attended University of Southern California Gould School of Law (ranked 19th nationally), served on Law Review, where she was awarded a Juris Doctorate.
Upon graduation, Lisa worked in mergers and acquisitions at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and First Amendment litigation at Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine (closed 1998). Subsequently, she joined the United States Attorney’s Office as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, for 11 years, prosecuting narcotics violations and Medicare fraud, primarily in the Southern District of Florida.
Lisa since has worked in private practice on business disputes, complex business and construction litigation. She is admitted in California, New York and Florida.
Her daughter is finishing her senior year at Stanford University. Lisa’s other children are 3 dogs and 2 cats, cared for by care givers in the mornings and afternoons while she is at the office.
